Broccoli Sprout Poppers - Aussie Sprouts

Broccoli Sprout Poppers

Cheesy, crunchy and delicious, these broccoli sprout poppers are as popular with kids as they are with adults. Serve them as a healthy after school snack or with pre-dinner drinks. 

Ingredients

  • 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets 1 cup Aussie Sprouts Broccoli Sprouts
  • Sprouts 1/3 cup cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 eggs
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, extra

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Steam broccoli florets until soft. Place in food processor with all other
    ingredients except extra breadcrumbs. Process until mixture is smooth.
  3. Spread extra breadcrumbs over a large plate. Roll broccoli mixture into
    small balls, then roll in breadcrumbs.
  4. Place poppers on a well oiled oven tray and spray with extra virgin olive
    oil. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. Season with salt and pepper and serve with tomato salsa or aioli.
